White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said in Washington, D.C., on Friday that the Biden administration was “aware” of the evacuations in Springfield, Ohio, following a bomb threat and that local police are investigating the situation. At an earlier White House event celebrating Black excellence, U.S. President Joe Biden referred to Jean-Pierre as a “proud Haitian-American” and that the attack on Haitian migrants “has to stop.”
