Paving scam alert: How residents can stay safe from shady workers targeting homeowners

People looking to get their driveways paved are being warned of a new scam going around.
The con involves shady contractors taking payment, but then doing deliberately low-quality work — or none at all. Winnipeg police say their financial crimes unit is investigating similar reports, and a rash of contractor scams have already been reported in Ontario. Global’s Melissa Ridgen reports.
