Charges upgraded in missing Ontario woman investigation to 2nd-degree murder

A 26-year-old man has been charged with second-degree murder in connection to the disappearance of 57-year-old Ying Zhang from Markham, Ont. Remains were found during a ground search in Ontario’s Kirkfield, a village in Kawartha Lakes. The accused, Cheng Ling Yang, was initially charged with kidnapping, but now faces a second-degree murder charge and a charge of indignity to a dead body.
