Former U.S. president Donald Trump gave the closing speech at the Republican National Convention (RNC) in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on Thursday evening, making his first appearance since an assassination attempt on his life during a rally in Butler, Pa., last Saturday. Trump also described the attempt on his life from the would-be assassin and how he turned just before the bullet grazed his ear. “I had God on my side,” Trump said, adding “I’m not supposed to be here tonight,” for which the crowd started chanting “Yes you are!”
