Calgary Mayor Jyoti Gondek said in a Saturday morning update that she had “excellent news” regarding the ongoing repairs of damaged pipes, after a water main break prompted restrictions and a local state of emergency. “The cutting and removal of [the] damaged pipe was completed yesterday. This is a significant milestone and it begins our transition from pipe removal towards pipe installation,” Gondek said.
