Vancouver to plant more trees to combat heat

The first official day of summer is fast approaching and the City of Vancouver has already come up with a way to protect people from extreme heat. More than 100,000 street trees will be planted across the city, after motion put forward by councillors Christine Boyle and Adrienne Carr was passed this week.
