The second day of the G7 summit saw history being made with Pope Francis addressing world leaders at the event for the first time. As the world’s cameras were focused on the pontiff, Canadians were closely watching the summit’s sidelines — specifically Canada’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi as the pair met for the first time face-to-face since Trudeau publicly accused India’s government of involvement of the assassination of a Canadian Sikh activist.
