During question period on Monday, NDP leader Jagmeet Singh called on the Liberal government to send a strong message to Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu and take measures to prevent further atrocities after an Israeli airstrike killed dozens in Rafah camp the night before. “What will it take for this Liberal government to send a message to Netanyahu that what has happened is inexcusable?” he asked. Foreign Affairs Minister Mélanie Joly responded by saying “the images coming out of Rafah are horrific” and “the killing of innocent civilians is completely unacceptable and the decisions of the International Court of Justice are binding.”
