Here we go again: that’s the sentiment Fort McMurray residents who fled the 2016 wildfire eight years ago, and were also affected by flooding more recently, felt as a new fire sprung up this week near the northern Alberta city. As Jasmine King reports, after living through that trauma and in some cases, losing everything — some residents aren’t taking any chances.
