On May 10, 2024 the region, and much of the northern hemisphere, was treated to a rare and strong display of Northern Lights (aurora borealis), even as the skies offered up clouds and hazy conditions. The images taken overnight have been breathtaking, with skyscapes ranging from blues & greens to oranges & pinks.
