A section of the Trans-Canada trail in Peterborough, Ont., was closed on Friday morning after police report a woman’s body was found.
Officers responded to the area around 3:45 a.m. after a woman was found on the ground on the trail in the area of McDonnel and Reid streets.
Police are assisting the coroner’s officer in what they are calling a sudden death investigation. The death is not considered suspicious.
The trail reopened around 10:20 a.m.
