During a press conference on Friday, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau addressed the newly-released interim report regarding foreign interference in Canada’s 2019 and 2021 federal elections. While Trudeau commended Commissioner Marie-Josée Hogue and said “with confidence” the elections were “decided by Canadians,” he also acknowledged the reported erosion of public trust in Canada’s democracy.
