‘Keep strong’: Blinken tells Israelis awaiting Hamas response to hostage proposal

Speaking with Israelis whose family members were killed or taken hostage by Hamas militants in the fateful Oct. 7 attacks, U.S. Secretary of State Blinken told them to “keep strong” and “keep the faith” as a decision from Hamas looms in a newly-proposed deal that could start a ceasefire in Gaza and help bring hostages home to Israel.
