Jurors heard closing arguments Tuesday in the trial for three men charged in the Coutts border blockade. The Crown says it was a political protest over COVID-19 restrictions and told the jury they don’t have to determine the accused were key participants to find them guilty. Defence lawyers have questioned whether anyone was really in charge of the blockade that shut down traffic between Alberta and the U.S. Micah Quintin has more.
