Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Defence Minister Bill Blair announced Monday that they are updating the nation’s defence policy. The update will include raising spending on the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) by $7.9 billion over the next five years. The long-promised news will not, however, meet Canada’s target under NATO.
