U.S. President Joe Biden spoke briefly from the White House on Tuesday after a container ship struck a major bridge in Baltimore, collapsing a large section of the Francis Scott Key bridge into the river below early Tuesday morning. “At this time we have no other indication, no other reason to believe there was any intentional act here,” Biden said. “Officials at the scene estimate eight people were unaccounted for,” the president said adding “that number might change — two have been rescued — one without injury, one in critical condition.”
