A recent study conducted in Ontario has found that maternal obesity increases the risk of stillbirth. The study examined more than 680,000 births between 2012 and 2018 and found that obesity alone, as well as obesity with other risk factors, increased the risk of stillbirth compared to pregnant people with a normal body mass index.
