Speaking after the Thursday sentencing of Nathaniel Veltman, who killed four members of a Muslim family and injured a fifth in London, Ont., back in June 2021, National Council of Canadian Muslims (NCCM) CEO Stephen Brown said that he was “relieved” about the sentencing. “Today’s decision sets the right precedent. It confirms what we all know: that violent white nationalism is terrorism,” Brown said.
