At 21 years old, Lois Cardinal chose to get bottom surgery as part of her transition from male to female — but 15 years later, the Alberta woman regrets the choice that left them unable to have children. She spoke with Sarah Komadina about why she supports the province’s move to have parents more involved in such decisions in teenagers.
