The driver of a car was sent to hospital after striking a light pole in the south end of Peterborough on Tuesday afternoon. Around 4:15 p.m., emergency crews were called to the scene on The Queensway just south of Erskine Avenue. Paramedics treated the driver at the scene before taking them to hospital for further treatment. Roads were slick at the time of the crash. Peterborough police are investigating the crash.
