Finland extends border closure with Russia amid asylum seeker influx

Finland has announced that it will extend the closure of its border with Russia for an additional four weeks, until Feb. 11. This decision came after an increase in the number of asylum seekers entering the country, which Finland believes was orchestrated by Moscow. The border closure was initially imposed late last year, and despite Finland’s accusations, the Kremlin has denied any involvement in the influx of asylum seekers.
