Restaurant patio season is almost over, but for smokers some changes could be in the works for Fredericton next year. In 2004, New Brunswick passed their Smoke Free Places Act, which banned smoking inside restaurants and pubs. Now, Fredericton city council is considering a ban on smoking on restaurant patios. The mayor is looking into the issue, and will bring up a proposal at council in a few weeks. Global’s Emily Baron Cadloff reports.
