Energy and Natural Resources Minister Jonathan Wilkinson defended the government’s pause on carbon pricing in Atlantic Canada during question period on Monday, amid criticism from Conservatives and NDP that it only benefits Canadians in Liberal ridings. Wilkinson said the program, which pauses carbon pricing on home heating oil and provides incentives to lower the cost of installing a heat pump, would apply “in all provinces and territories.”
