A group of cottage owners on Miramichi Lake have asked the Department of Fisheries and Oceans to rescind its approval of a plan to eradicate smallmouth bass from the lake.

Wolastoqewi Mothers and Grandmothers took turns riding in canoes on Miramichi Lake in an effort to thwart a smallmouth bass eradication plan involving the use of a pesticide.
