Budget airline Swoop will be shut down later this year and have its operations folded into WestJet, the Calgary-based company announced Friday.

WestJet’s cancellations affected dozens of routes within Canada and to the U.S. and overseas, while flights at the WestJet Encore and the WestJet-owned Sunwing were unaffected.
