Fredericton is considering making it mandatory for cabs to have metering pricing, in an effort to attract more drivers to the industry and improve customer service.

The out-of-the-cold shelter was given permission to open after the City of Fredericton and the provincial government were able to come to an agreement, a city spokesperson confirmed Sunday.
