Researchers cracked open the Asian giant hornet nest, revealing a complex network filled with young workers and queens.

The Asian giant hornet nest was eradicated in Blaine, Wash., a few kilometres south of the border with Canada.

Both hornets were found in Birch Bay, just south of Blaine and a 20-minute drive from the Peace Arch border crossing.
