When people looked out at Halifax harbour over the past week, it was hard not to see a ship of some form in the water and that meant an economic boost to businesses. 

Nearly 3,000 U.S. Navy personnel will be in Halifax as part of the 150th Canada Day celebrations. Leading the way is the nuclear powered USS Eisenhower aircraft carrier.
