In a press release, Toronto police said on Feb. 17, just after 11:30 a.m., officers received a report of an assault on a platform of the Main Street Subway station. 

The union representing TTC workers -- ATU Local 113 and the national ATU Canada held a press conference to discuss the increasing number of assaults against transit workers.
