The Southern Chiefs Organization (SCO) will be demonstrating at Winnipeg's most famous intersection with a unity round dance – a peaceful protest meant to raise awareness of what it calls the Pallister government's oppressive policies targeting Manitoba First Nations.

Beginning at 6 a.m. and lasting until 3 p.m., the road closures will be in effect as the race starts at 7:30 a.m.
