Friends and family of B.C. residents killed in the crash are fearful and angry after hearing the plane may have been "unintentionally" shot down by an Iranian missile.

Since commercial aviation began, civilian passenger aircraft have been shot down, intentionally or otherwise — and most of the worst incidents have involved mistaken identity.
