Metro Vancouver is gearing up to start work replacing a nearly century-old water main that runs beneath the Burrard Inlet and Stanley Park, serving Vancouver, Richmond and Delta.

Residents say the five-year project timeline is too long, and the project will result in noise and traffic congestion in the already busy part of downtown Vancouver.
