In the wake of a deadly tornado in the Virden, Man., area that killed two on Friday, an Environment Canada meteorologist is urging the public to learn about tornado safety.

Carter Tilbury and Shayna Barnesky, both 18 years old from Melita, Man., were driving near Virden, Man., when a tornado touched down in the area.
