Nova Scotia RCMP officers searched Jeremy MacKenzie's home and allegedly found five restricted firearms, prohibited magazines, body armour and ammunition.

RCMP officers pointed their firearms at people over five times as often as they pointed conducted energy weapons like Tasers.

According to the IIU, the officer tried to pull the vehicle over, but it sped away. When the officer followed on foot into a wooded area, the car turned and accelerated toward him, at which point the officer fired his gun.
