Government Whip Mark Holland says the decision to move beleagured Liberal MP Raj Grewal off the finance committee was not related to reports of an RCMP probe of his gambling.

The Prime Minister's Office says former Brampton East MP Raj Grewal's abrupt resignation on Thursday was because of a "gambling problem."
