Peter Guthrie, the head of Alberta’s new Progressive Tory Party, said there's no time to lose in creating a centrist conservative alternative to the UCP and the NDP.

Elections Alberta approved a new name for the Alberta Party, lead by MLA Peter Guthrie, even after the governing UCP banned a list of words it could use, including "conservative."
