"Postcards are such a sweet and simple way to let people know that you are thinking of them."

In the digital era, letter writing has become somewhat of a dying art, but a group in Regina is trying to change that by using the past to procure the present.

Postcard Pals is a new interactive program that was introduced last February to the residents of Glen Hill Strathaven, a long term care facility in Bowmanville. To date more than 400 postcards have been received from people travelling the world wanting to share intriguing facts and bringing the world to the residents without leaving the comfort of home.

Glen Hill Strathaven's residents have received 40 cards from around the world, from Barbados to New Zealand.
