Public Safety Minister Marco Mendicino has said U.S. customs officers at the Nexus centres aren't entitled to the same legal protection they have at airports and the border.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection says the 36-year-old man was crossing using the NEXUS trusted traveller program last Wednesday when a secondary inspection turned up 3,670 rounds of ammunition.
