Former Montreal Alouettes fullback Michael Soles passed away on Wednesday at the age of 54 after a lengthy struggle with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).

It was a wild finish to a game dominated by defence, with Montreal staying in the game thanks to four turnovers.

Members of a local West Island football team participated in the "ice bucket challenge" to raise awareness for ALS, a cause which resonates closely with the Hurricane's coach, Derek Soles.
