Ottawa Fire Services say they were called to a blaze in the 5,000 block of First Line Road in Manotick early this morning.

A Manotick man has been charged with possession of child pornography following a nearly year-long investigation by the Ottawa police.

An Ottawa driver pulled over on Thursday morning to top up the car's windshield wiper fluid, only to discover that a stray cat had hitched a ride across town with her, crouched on top of the engine, the city's bylaw department said.
