The sentencing process for a Hamilton police officer found guilty of charges under the Police Services Act has been delayed after he failed to show up for his hearing.

A hearing has been scheduled for the officer after an incident at a crime scene in Waterdown two years ago.

Global News videographer Jeremy Cohn and freelance journalist David Ritchie were arrested by Hamilton police while on assignment covering the death of a 10-year-old girl in a collision near Evans Road and Dundas Street East in Waterdown Tuesday.
