In a race between two councillors, Laurie Hopfl defeated Jen Leach to become Lillooet's mayor. Hopfl had nearly 70 per cent of the vote, with Leach at just over 30 per cent.

Lillooet - it's one B.C.'s oldest town, and was once the biggest settlement north of San Francisco.
