Calgary police confirm that the man who survived after being shot while he was in the parking lot of the North Hill Co-Op grocery store on Monday was an innocent bystander.

In April, the organized crime operations unit of the Calgary Police Service started investigating after receiving information about two men believed to be trafficking drugs.
