Striking workers at Dalhousie University are set to return to work Monday after the union voted to ratify an agreement with the school.

The Alberta government announced it has reached a tentative deal with the Alberta Teachers' Association and the Teachers Employer Bargaining Association on Wednesday.

The union representing First Student Markham school bus drivers is hopeful a deal can be reached before the union is in a legal strike position early Thursday. A strike could impact thousands of students in Toronto and York Region.
