'I genuinely believe that no matter where Jim has gone through his life, he has left a large footprint,' one colleague said in regard to the passing of Liberal MP Jim Carr.

Jim Carr's death was announced in the House of Commons on Monday by Winnipeg North MP Kevin Lamoureux, who asked the House for a moment of silence before question period.
