After responding to false emergency calls, Revelstoke Search and Rescue said 'the subjects were either completely unaware of this feature on their iPhone' or didn't hear it go off.

After speaking with Apple, Dwight Yochim of BC Search and Rescue said an update was issued Wednesday to prevent false calls caused by iPhone and Apple Watch crash detection.
