Twenty new Level 2 chargers in Lethbridge, Alta., are between the downtown Park 'n' Ride, Enmax Centre and city hall and two DC fast chargers are at Nikka Yuko Japanese Garden.

Ottawa has appointed an advisory group to develop a plan for getting more zero-emission vehicles on the road, but it won't follow Quebec in requiring automakers to sell a minimum number of electric cars, Transport Minister Marc Garneau said Friday.

In an effort to appeal to the mainstream consumer, prices on electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles are coming down. While a deal is often a good incentive, the industry is still trying to get over some hurdles.
