WorkSafeBC says between July 1 and Nov. 1, there were 22 incidents involving cranes in B.C. -- more than half of which were due to operating error.

It's not clear how the crane was damaged, but the City of Vancouver says Howe Street was closed at Drake Street Thursday morning as a precaution.
