It was a perfect example of being at the right place at the right time. Rod Tribiger managed to save a life that evening, something he’ll never forget.

Rideau Hall has announced a list of 103 people set to be honoured with the Order of Canada, including four of who are from Winnipeg.

Dozens of local heroes were honoured in Calgary Thursday night at the annual Police Chief's Awards Gala. Some of them risked their own lives to save complete strangers, while others jumped into action, when no one else would help.
