OPP say a highway between the northern communities of White River and Hornepayne is closed due to a forest fire causing 'extremely dangerous conditions' in the area.

A 26-year-old man died early Friday morning after his car was hit by a truck that allegedly blew through a stop sign east of Edmonton.

A minivan rolled on Highway 631 Sunday night, killing the female passenger and injuring the male driver and five children. It was one of five fatal collisions this past weekend, that left a total of six people dead and seven injured.
